Browser Extension Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026 — applies to “Web to PDF — Local & Private” and “Local PDF Toolbox”.

The short version

These extensions do their work entirely inside your browser, on your own device. Your files, the pages you capture, and their contents are never uploaded to any server. We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no trackers, and no analytics inside the extensions.

What data we handle

None that leaves your device. The PDF, image, or web page you choose is processed locally (using in-browser libraries) to produce the output file, which is saved directly to your computer via the browser’s download. Nothing about that file is transmitted to us or to any third party.

Permissions and why

• Local PDF Toolbox requests no permissions at all. It only reads the files you explicitly pick.
• Web to PDF requests activeTab and scripting, used only when you click a button, to capture the current tab and scroll it while capturing. These are never used in the background and no page data is sent anywhere.

Third parties

The extensions contain no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking code. They do not make network requests during normal use. Optional links may take you to our website (pdfusta.com) for server-based tools; that is a normal web visit and governed by our site privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, the update is published on this page. Our core principle does not change: your files stay on your device.
